No one knows about the next gen iPhone, most of the people believe that it will feature the same design as the iPhone 4.
The concept image below tells us that the next gen iPhone will have a transparent flexible design with orange Apple logo.

transparent, yet it has display on front and a luminous logo at the back? these will obstruct with each other. and how can someone conveniently operate a thin and flexible unit?
and how do you fit a camera and charging port in such a thin device?
we are approaching just 2011, things like these are not developed in just a few months
Love the idea! I hope Apple sees it & runs with it. After all they seem to like to create revolutionary devices. This could be one.
this is a fantastic idea but that’s all it is an idea now way can something like that be made technology has not developed that far although I think when something like it could be made people will pay money for it I being one of them people.

Naturally, these photos are fake. Hence the intro line stating it is a ‘Concept image’. (Pay attention ubernewb, since you felt the only reason you needed to comment was to blast the prior posts, guess you didn’t read the part about it being a concept image? Retard)

Also, it is only a matter of time when purely wireless becomes reality for all devices. Wireless charging already exists, it won’t be long before it’s incorporated mainstream tech.
Although this concept is very impracticle and unlikely, it is not out of reach using available technology and some clever engineering.

I don’t even understand how any of you could think this is real.
Transparent screen? Not possible.
Different things displayed on both sides of said screen? Still not possible.
Where do you plan to keep the motherboard? Battery? Camera? (Side note: it is true that phone components can communicate wirelessly, but they DO have to be getting power. and wireless power transfer is not even close to feasible in a phone, no matter what those PowerMat commercials tell you.)
It would be nigh-impossible to operate a phone like that if it was that flexible. Just because bendy LCD technology exists, it doesn’t mean we should make the whole phone like that.
I could go on. I won’t, because this is Internet and no one cares.

There ain’t batteries that flat and FLEXIBLE enough to be folded that way. Unless you don’t mind a 1min batt phone.
Motherboards can’t be folded as well.
I can’t stand such nonsensational ideas. even if you break up the mobo to pieces to allow folding, it’s not safe anyway, chances of spoiling is insanely high. (reduce size? How much can you reduce…..nowadays you are adding more features, not reducing to reduce mobo size for THIS ridiculous idea.
First of all that picture is FAKE .. that being said they didn’t say it real and are talking about concept of such a phone, we already have flexable lcd screens ‘black and white ones the whole thing isnt transparent anyway we have transparent batterys and the ‘micro’ motherboard and speakers would be in the none transparent parts
This will not be in the iPhone 5 but will be in the iPhone 6 in 2012. Because transparent screens would be commonplace and flexible AMOLED+ technology will be incoporated in most phones!

to correct you, there are transparent screens for phones, Sony Ericsson has a phone like that, which is currently called Xperia Purness, but its only the screen thats transparent

I have a nexus s which has a flexible samoled screen and with a live wallpaper
That uses your camera as the wallpaper it almost looks as if your phone is transparent
So maybe doing something with cameras to make the phone look transparent is a better idea. At least for now
While we can all agree that the photos are fake, for those of you who doubt that the technology even remotely exists for something similar to this, visit the website listed below. We are not far off from this. I agree camera and charging port would hinder this a bit, but it could come on line in the not too distant future.

the thing is we r limited by the technology as none has got that brain wave,for instance the possibility to fit all sorts of motherboard , mc’s,btteries etc wud b in shape of ‘fibers’ that will make it flexible but still its confounded .though nobody is saying that it is immposss but we have to wait until our teeths starts falling

The transparent screen is possible, new metals have been found to be able to be made transparent up to the point of electrical waves flowing through. Furthermore, Nokia has provided proof of flexibility. Not only this, technology has been mimicking the ideas shown through movies, and Iron Man 2 has the idea. Although, the confusion over were to place a charger port and camera…thecharger port is not necessary because there are padswhere you can set your phone on them and it will charge, but for the camera it’s a mystery to me as well.
Impossible as the complex motherboard of an iphone can’t be as thin and flexible. This will certainly be possible in about 10 years. Maybe. Good luck apple

Um I like the idea.. im afraid if bent completely in half by accident ir by a child that it would mess up tue screen and be distorted … not to mention id loose that thing in my bra lol…I already loose my droid x in there and it has some weight to it…but its a cool idea….I wouldn’t spend the money for it… I like apple and all but teamandroid all the way

I DO think that this is possible.. mind u people there is a technology called “Nano technology”. So this I phone 5 or 6 can be a innovative production with the help of AmoLED + fexible screens and nano tech.. many have asked about the motherboard and the battery… nano technology is capable to put inside all those stuff into the two black stripes just above and below the transparent screen.. but im still unsure about showing the glowing apple logo from the other side…

Okay, it is possible. Those pictures are based on the IDEA Apple has. It is supposed to be flexible. I’m not sure about transparency. I’m sure whatever Apple comes up with will be bomb!

As I said Think out of the box ……
everything showed in this concept phone is possible with todays tech, except the flexiblity and thickness of the phone.And there will be some drawbacks/limitations too, like very small/slow memory. really fragile, slow processing and biggest drawback is this that it will be too much expensive.
So technically speaking it is possible to make a phone like that but for now it is not possible/feasible for any company to launch such product.

Its not impossible at all. And it can have a display. Nokia has already confirmed it will be coming out with a tablet that can bend in all ways. This is doable its just a matter of cost and whether consumers can afford it. I imagine it will probably run about $500 with a plan if they do it. But who knows with apple they are unpredictable.
These technologies already exist. They are just being applied to a smartphone now… or will be eventually.

saw some other consept iphone on youtube. would be possible if the hardware is in the black parts and the screen would have some beaming source from the inside. think we will see this kind of stuff inabout 2 years or so
