Plugins: Thumbnail For Excerpts
Thumbnail For Excerpts is a very powerful plugin used to add thumbnails wherever you show excerpts (archive page, feed…category pages!).
It searches the post for the first image… If exists, than it will search for the thumbnail for the image, and display it!… If their is no thumbnail for the image it will show the image itself , and of course, scaled!..If their is no image with in the post then it won’t display anything!
You can easily set the size of the image.And of course set the position of the image that ,were it should appear!

INSTALLATION:
- Download the zip file
- Unpack the zip. You should have a directory called `thumbnailforexcerpts`,
- Upload the `thumbnailforexcerpts` directory to the `wp-content/plugins` directory on your WordPress installation.
- Activate plugin!
