Open Categories Menu Windows Phone 7 Mango RTM 7720 updateWP error Fix
If your going through the steps of installing Mango RTM 7720 on your Windows Phone then you might get stuck at the place where UpdateWP.exe crashes. The quick fix for this annoying problem is to goto Program Files > Zune folder then delete or rename updateWP.exe & wm7update.dll (I recommend you to rename them to something .. updateWP123.exe , wm7update123.dll)
This is the only way i got that lousy crash problem fixed, I hope this works for everyone.
Worked for me after renaming the files and then re-running Setup-UpdateWP-x64.exe as administrator
